Review: The Moth in the Mirror (Splintered #1.5) by A.G Howard!

An original ebook-only novella in the Splintered series, told from the points of view of both Jeb and Morpheus. Morpheus wants to know more about his rival for Alyssa's affections, so he digs into Jeb's memories of his time in Wonderland. But he may be surprised by what he finds.

This brand-new story and perspective from A.G. Howard's dark, magical world stands alone, but also provides a tantalizing glimpse of what's to come in Unhinged, the sequel to Splintered.

My Review

Ooooh the gauntlet has been thrown!  Shit is about to hit the fan!

In this little novella we have Morpheus wanting to see Jeb’s memories of what occurred in Wonderland.  He wants to see what makes Jeb JEB so to speak.  So we have a few different scenes from Splintered told from Jeb’s POV.  It was definitely interesting but I still don’t like him.  We did get to see some of Morpheus which is always great, I just can’t get enough of him.  His sarcasticness is just perfection. The way he talks is perfection.  Morpheus is perfection.  Jeb is not.  I don’t like his humor, it’s very juvenile and just sounds way too forced.

It was still interesting though and I really enjoyed it.  We got to see some new characters and some that were introduced already in Splintered, like Gossamer.  Overall, it was a great story that gives the readers a little insight into what we couldn’t exactly ‘see’ in Splintered.

And then there’s the end.  Oh boy.  Can’t wait to get my hands on Unhinged!
